last week, we took a little vacation up to virginia to go to water country and busch gardens. we bought 2 year season passes last year for all of us thinking we would go ALL THE TIME, but in actuality, this was our first time this year. a lot of that has to do with jason working out of town the last 3 months, but even so, we have definitely gotten our money's worth out of those tickets.
last year, i learned that bringing my dslr was such a hassel. i constantly worried about it getting stolen, or wet, or broken. so this year, i just brought my point and shoot. and then realized i forgot to put the sd card back in it. so all i had was my cell phone. believe it or not, i was totally okay with just having that. so much less stress.
this whole trip was planned around
miranda cosgrove. the kids found out she was having a concert that weekend and they just had to go. how could we disappoint! little did we know it was going to be so dang hot or that we would have to stand in line for 2 hours, plus an additional 2 hours inside underneath the hot sun. but in the end, it was totally worth it to see my kids so excited.

14. i nearly cried when i saw how excited my kids were to see miranda cosgrove. totally worth the 4 hours standing and waiting in the 100 degree direct sunlight.
