coffee talk

starbucks iced coffee 4 with letters

1. let's talk about ink: do you have tattoos? how many?

yes. i have 4 tattoos. my favorite one is on my neck and it is a clover to represent my irish heritage.

i would love to have more, when i can afford to, including a phoenix feather, hot air balloon, teacup, and snowflakes.

2. let's talk about hair styles: bangs, do you have them, want them, trying to grow them out? what about side bangs?

i go back and forth with bangs. sometimes i love them and have them, sometimes i hate them and grown my hair out. right now i am growing them out from a rotten mood spur of the moment chop. it wasn't a bad cut, but i really had no intentions of cutting them. i was in a bad mood that day and i needed something to take it out on. so, i grabbed the scissors and a handful of my hair and cut.

i have been occasionally doing my bangs side swept lately, when i actually do my hair but for the most part it's more like a side part. and, if it's not like that, it's up in a top knot. but, that's another thing i go back and forth with because sometimes they are parted.

3. let's talk about work: without getting specific with a company name, what do you do? what did you want to be when you grew up when you were young?

i am currently a SAHM and i love it! when i was younger, i never really knew what i wanted to be when i grew up. i may have said teacher, i know i said actress, and i probably said truck driver. i guess i could never figure out what i wanted to do because i was meant to be at home for my kids every day.

i went to school for my degree in early childhood education and i worked 12 years in childcare. i have been an infant teacher, toddler teacher, preschool teacher, before and after school program teacher, assistant director, area assistant, health and safety coordinator, and marketing assistant...all in a childcare setting. did i love it? yes. did i hate it? yes. working with children is a very tough, yet rewarding job.

4. let's talk about friends: do you find it easier or more difficult to meet new friends as an adult? do you have what you consider "blog friends"? what about irl friends?

i am a pretty friendly person so i am sure i could make friends pretty easily, however, i don't have the time for new irl friends so i don't make an effort to make new ones. that doesn't mean i am a bitch. that just means i don't commit to things with people i know i can't fit into my schedule.

i have two best friends irl. i have friends, but the two i pretty much talk or text almost every single day are amanda and matthew. matthew is my bff from middle school and amanda and i met when we both previously worked at the same childcare center.

5. let's talk about social media: android or iphone? twitter or facebook?

i have only ever had an iphone so i don't have it to compare, but i love my iphone and have never considered switching to a droid.

i both love and hate things about facebook and twitter. i prefer twitter but most of my irl friends don't use twitter like i do so i spend an equal amount of time over there as well. i would have to say, i use facebook more for irl friends and family and twitter more for my blog. i wish everyone would just move to twitter.

this is old but i have always loved this video...
