i really wanted to incorporate a few new things into my life this year that are just for me and also kinda get the brain juices flowing. chelsey over at the paper mama is doing 52 weeks of drawings with a different theme each week. it seems really fun and exciting, so i thought i would give it a try this year. it may or may not be something i share here on the blog, but i thought i would give you guys a heads up about it because it is such a great idea. if i do share, it definitely won't be every single week.
i used to draw all the time, but it has been over 12 years since i have picked up a pencil and been intentional with my drawing. and, i love that my passion for art was passed on to mackenzie as well. the girl has talent. i not only love her art, but the creative aspect of it all. a few weeks ago she drew spongebob and patrick star as human figures and she nailed it!
if you are looking for something different to do with your extra time (what extra time, right?), 52 weeks of drawings is a great way to spark your creative side, even if you aren't necessarily the greatest artist ever. just let go of all the criticism you think you will give yourself and just do it! she already has the themes (depicted above) for every single week in 2013 posted, so go check it out and have fun!
