Gratitude & Encouragement

Last month our family found ways to encourage other through random acts of kindness. We helped when we could and gave out small gifts to brighten the day of others as well. We loved that we were teaching our children how to help and give to others without expecting something in return.

This month, with Thanksgiving in just a few weeks, it is the perfect time to challenge ourselves as a family to do one random act of kindness a day. Whether it be within our family, among our friends and neighbors, or for a complete stranger, I want to encourage others abundantly. I also want my children to better understand what it means to give and that an act of kindness never has to cost a lot, if even at all.

In addition to encouraging others, I want us to focus on being grateful for all of the wonderful things in our own lives. Each day we will be sharing the things we are thankful for with an activity we started last year. We will be doing things a little differently this year, so be sure to stop by next week when I share this activity you can do with your family as well.

I will be sharing some of the things I am thankful for on social media also , so be sure to find me on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram to follow along.

I would love to hear about some of the ways you are encouraging others or about some of the things you are grateful for. Be sure to share your stories or let me know in the comments how I can follow along with you too.

It's NaBloPoMo, which means I will be blogging every day in November. I do hope you will follow along here.
